Summit School Students and Families,
The Summit School is implementing virtual learning for days that we may miss due to winter weather. Teachers will be sending home any items that may be needed to complete lessons at home for the duration of any possible storm. We realize this is not ideal, but we want to try to keep students academically engaged as we start our state testing period.
What you can expect in the elementary:
1. Teachers will contact families with an attendance question each morning. Students/parents can answer the attendance question at anytime during the day.
2. Packets will be sent home today. These packets will be prepared for 3 days with directions. With the 3 days of packets, we are hoping not all of these will be used. We are hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
3. Teachers will be available via email or any other mode of communication the teacher makes available. Teachers will respond in a timely manner to communication during the school day. If you need accommodation outside the school day due to work commitments, please discuss this with the teacher.
What you can expect in the high school:
1. Teachers will contact students with an attendance question.
2. Assignments will be available via Google Classroom by 9:00 each morning.
3. Students should check in to every face-to-face class on Google Classroom at some point during the day. If a student is in an online or dual credit class, please check in to that class as you normally do.
4. Teachers will be available via email or any other mode of communication the teacher makes available. Teachers will respond in a timely manner to communication during the school day.
Elementary students, if your child is not here, I will email you their packets.
Junior High and High School students, please contact me and we can make a plan to get your needed items.
