Congratulations to the Mustangs on their successful seasons and to the girls basketball team on their first round playoff victory. The girls will take on Hitchcock Tulare on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7 PM in Summit for a chance to advance to the SoDak 16. The boys team will play against Hitchcock Tulare on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 PM in Waubay. We are excited for the opportunity of our teams and looking forward to supporting them in the upcoming games. As a reminder, good sportsmanship is vital to athletic events, and we would like to share the following guidelines from the SDHSAA at tournament events:
SPECTATOR CONDUCT AT STATE EVENTS
· Prohibited Items
o Flash Photography
o Banners, Signs or Noisemakers
o Balloons, Confetti or Silly String
o Hoops, Mini-Trampolines or Tunnels (including human tunnels)
o Laser Pointers
o Facemasks (unless designed to prevent the spread of infectious disease)
o Tobacco use (including electronic cigarettes), Alcohol and Gambling are prohibited
· Students are not allowed to stand on bleachers
· Students are not allowed to stomp or kick bleachers in unison
